A small herd of llamas was spotted roaming the train tracks in Provo, Utah, on Thursday evening after escaping from their owner, according to the Utah Transit Authority.
Several emergency responders were quickly dispatched to round up the five llamas, which had wandered onto the Union Pacific line.
Fortunately, the incident did not cause any delays to train service, as confirmed by transit authority spokesperson Gavin Gustafson.
As of 10 p.m. local time, about three and a half hours after the search began, it was still unclear whether the llamas had been caught. Details regarding how the animals escaped and where they came from were not immediately available.
The llamas’ brief adventure occurred 43 miles south of Salt Lake City.
