Businesswoman Adesuwa Ighalo has voiced strong opinions regarding recent events in Equatorial Guinea, where authorities allegedly released sensitive videos involving multiple individuals. Taking to social media, Ighalo argued that the officers involved had no right to publicly share the videos, suggesting that such actions were not only humiliating but also a violation of privacy.
In her statement, Ighalo pointed out that any legal action should ideally come from the spouses of those involved, rather than the government. She also noted that these incidents reflect the lack of training among officers, comparing the situation to similar controversies involving law enforcement in Nigeria.
According to Ighalo, “Humiliating adults for something consensual is unjust, especially given that a life has already been lost in this process.” Her comments highlight the need for more responsible handling of sensitive cases in both Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria.
