APC dominates the Cross River local government elections, winning all chairmanship and councillorship seats across the state.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the recent local government elections in Cross River State, capturing all 18 chairmanship positions and securing all 196 councillorship seats.
Ekong Boco, chairperson of the Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission, announced this during a press briefing at the commission’s office in Calabar on Sunday.
The elections, conducted on Saturday across all 18 local government areas of the state, resulted in a decisive victory for the APC.
In his speech, Mr. Boco called on the newly elected chairpersons and councillors to show generosity in their victory and focus on advancing development in their local government areas.
He wrapped up the event by handing out certificates of return to the winners, marking an important milestone for the APC in Cross River State.
