What happened to Pasuma that has never happened to other great Fuji musician before him?
King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall was once Wasiu Ayinde Barrister before changing it to King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall after he has attained stardom. If Taye Currency decided to stand alone now after he has attained stardom,i don’t see anything bad in this. After all, he cannot rewrite the history which is already in public domains..
We all know how Taye Currency started then, though he did not learn under Pasuma or ever been a backup vocalist under Oganla Fuji but,we all know when Pasuma was promoting him all over the country as his musical son with stage name “Taye Paso”
We must not also forget the fact that Taye Currency wasn’t the only one that followed Pasuma footsteps then as we also have so many Paso across the country like Paso Ilorin, Paso Abeokuta and others. Where are the other Pasos today?
This is to tell some die hard Pasuma fans bragging that it was Oganla that made Taye Currency what he is today that it is God Almighty that made everyone of them but, just mere coincidence just as K1 the ultimate wasn’t the only Fuji Musician that passed through the late Alhaji Agba before K1 becomes the most successful one among many of them.
Just as late Barrister used to proud of K1 the ultimate even despite the fact that the same K1 has on many occasions dragged the late barrister over Fuji creator controversy which pitched the late barrister against Alhaji Kollington Ayinla,so also Pasuma should be proud of Taye Currency for promoting his name and brand of Fuji across the globe not minding the present posturing of Taye Currency. Oganla should not allow this to get to his head because human beings would always behave as one, even Pasuma himself not excluded.
If i were Pasuma,I would have maintained my peace even at the heat of provocation and allow those younger ones continue dragging Taye Currency just like Osupa Ignored Safejo Amama and allowed Musendiku Adele, Saridon 2 Kamoru and others to cut him to size.
