A young and brilliant Nigerian Lady named Priscilla Asikhia has set an outstanding record of being the youngest PhD graduate of Babcock University, South-West, Nigeria, after earning a Doctorate (PhD) degree at the young age of 25.
Priscilla Asikhia took to her LinkedIn handle to celebrate her success narrating that her journey to achieving a PhD degree took her 10 years of rigorous studying.
āA successive 10-year education has given me a grounded knowledge of Educational Research, Administration, and Human Resource,ā she wrote on LinkedIn. Priscilla started her higher academic journey at the age of 15 and graduated with a Bachelorās degree in Business Administration at 19 years old.
She enrolled for a Masterās Degree in Business Administration and Management which she concluded at the age of 22. Immediately after the completion of her Masterās degree, Priscilla began her PhD degree, studying Human Resouces and Personnel Administration.
She successfully completed her PhD degree at 25 years old, making her the youngest PhD graduate of the institution and also one of the youngest Doctors of Philosophy in Nigeria.
āI am glad to announce that I have just been awarded a Ph.D. Degree and also holding the position of the youngest Ph.D. graduate at Babcock University. All glory be to God for this great feat,ā she said.
Priscillaās brother, Iseoluwa Asikhia in his congratulatory message to his sister narrated that her achievement shows how important education is for them in their family. He noted that her father is a Professor and mother is Doctor making her achievement more success to the family.
āWhen you come from a family where your Father is a Professor Olalekan Asikhia, your mother a Doctor and Sister, who is now a PhD Holder, It shows the value of Education to this Family and we donāt undermine the importance of investing in knowledge at a young age,ā Iseoluwa wrote on LinkedIn.
Priscilla gave thanks to God, her parent, her siblings and everyone who helped her throughout her academic journey.
