Lere Olayinka, a former spokesperson for ex-governor Ayodele Fayose, has called for the arrest of House of Representatives member Alexander Mascot Ikwechegh from Abia State for allegedly threatening a cab driver in Abuja.
During the confrontation, Ikwechegh reportedly said he would make the cab driver “disappear.”
A video of the incident, shared on X by former Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, Chidi Odinkalu, captured the encounter. The representative also threatened to physically assault the cab driver and confine him in his generator house.
In response, Olayinka, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, posted on X: “When will this powerful Rep member be arrested?”
