Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze has advised the faction of the Rivers State House of Assembly led by Martin Amaewhule to abandon any plans to impeach Governor Siminalayi Fubara, emphasizing their lack of legitimacy following their defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Eze criticized the lawmakers for interpreting a recent Court of Appeal ruling incorrectly, asserting that their voluntary exit from the PDP has rendered them ineligible to conduct legislative business. He cautioned that any attempts to challenge the governor could backfire and urged lawmakers to be wary of advice from former governor Nyesom Wike, whom he accused of undermining the state’s stability.
