Phyno defends his song featuring Hushpuppi as fans question the collaboration, standing by his creative decision despite backlash.
Renowned Nigerian rapper Phyno, whose real name is Chibuzor Azubike Nelson, has voiced his frustration over the criticism he faced for including Hushpuppi in one of his songs.
According to OBASANJONEWS, Phyno faced significant online criticism for including convicted felon Hushpuppi on his latest album titled ‘Full Time Job.’
Hushpuppi was heard sharing motivational quotes on a track called “Nwoke Esike,” which ignited a wave of reactions online.
Joining the chorus of critics, an X user @Temmyt_Official commented, “I still can’t figure out why Phyno involved Hushpuppi in that track to ‘motivate’ us.”
In response, Phyno angrily said: “Go to bed if you don’t understand the game! If Young Thug or El Chapo sings on a track now, you’ll be quick to play it first… fool!”
The partnership signifies the resolution of the conflict between Phyno and Hushpuppi.
In 2017, an intense online dispute erupted between Phyno and Hushpuppi. The conflict began when the rapper advised the internet celebrity to refrain from flaunting his lavish lifestyle on social media. This advice came in response to Hushpuppi’s earlier criticism of Phyno and fellow artist Ice Prince for allegedly wearing counterfeit wristwatches.
