Vice President Kamala Harris will provide CBS Evening News anchor Norah O’Donnell with exclusive access during the final days of her presidential campaign, as announced by CBS News on Friday.
O’Donnell will follow Harris on her campaign trail in Houston, Texas, and Kalamazoo, Michigan, with the interview set to premiere on “CBS News Sunday Morning” this weekend. Clips from the interview will also feature on programs like “Face the Nation,” “CBS Mornings,” and the CBS News 24/7 Streaming Network.
In a noteworthy event, Beyoncé will join Harris on stage in Houston on Friday night, having previously allowed the Harris/Walz campaign to use her song “Freedom” as their theme.
As Election Day approaches, Harris has been active in media appearances, including a CNN town hall that attracted 3.3 million viewers. Earlier interviews, like her combative one with Fox News’s Bret Baier, garnered even higher ratings at 7.8 million viewers. Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump is scheduled for an interview with podcaster Joe Rogan, though the release date remains undisclosed.
