Senator Orji Kalu has shared details about his personal relationship with Nnamdi Kanu’s father.
In a video shared by Arise TV, Kalu said he had a long-standing relationship with Kanu’s father. He mentioned that Kanu’s father used to buy snuff from him, specifically a brand he imported from Kentucky, USA before he became governor of Abia.
Kalu disclosed that he made Kanu’s father the Eze (traditional leader) of their village and that their bond was built through business dealings. He emphasized his closeness to the family, noting that Kanu’s brothers could confirm this.
In Kalu’s words: “Is Nnamdi Kanu my friend? I made his father Eze of their place. His father used to buy snuff from me before I became governor. I used to import Campbell snuff from Kentucky, USA. So his father was my customer and I am very close to the family. If the brothers are watching this interview they will tell you yes, it is true”
