Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, has conveyed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ongoing efforts to elevate Nigeria further.
On Saturday night, Gbajabiamila addressed the audience as he joined other senior officials of the administration to welcome the President at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja upon his return from a two-week working vacation in the United Kingdom (UK).
He mentioned that he’s returning to pick up where he left off, focusing on implementing policies and ensuring everything is done correctly so we proceed in the right direction.
He’s the pilot of the plane, steering us toward our cruising altitude. Before long, Nigerians will start to witness the results of his efforts and ours.
Let us all remain hopeful and optimistic, as we have been experiencing the Renewed Hope. Mr. President has returned to Nigeria to continue his commendable efforts.
Gbajabiamila characterized President Tinubu’s break as a working holiday, noting that his return was prompted by the need for more work.
The type of work he’s been involved in over the past year and a half necessitated some rest. He took a break to recharge, and now that he’s back, he’s feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.
“It was essentially a working holiday, allowing him to both work and relax. Now that he’s back in Nigeria, everyone is fully engaged and he’s prepared to move forward,” he stated.
Additionally, over the weekend, Senate President Godswill Akpabio recognized the ongoing challenges facing the country and reassured Nigerians that President Tinubu’s administration is committed to leaving a lasting legacy that ensures a brighter future.
According to a statement released yesterday in Abuja by his media aide, Jackson Udom, Akpabio, who graduated with a law degree from the University of Calabar (UNICAL), addressed attendees at this year’s reunion for UNICAL’s ‘87 Law Class.
Speaking to his former classmates, senators who joined him, and the UNICAL staff and students, he stated: “The challenges our nation is facing today were not brought about by the current administration. They are due to years of poor governance.”
Any country lacking essential infrastructure cannot develop effectively or save for challenging times. During global economic downturns, like the one we are experiencing today, such a country is inevitably impacted.
The positive aspect is that with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in office, we can hold onto hope. We see a light at the end of the tunnel. The initiatives we’re pursuing now are intended for future generations, not solely for our own benefit.
“You can be confident that this administration will create enduring legacies ensuring a brighter future,” he stated.
In addition, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Rivers Caretaker Committee stated that President Tinubu’s accomplishments were significantly underreported.
He made this statement during the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) news forum.
President Tinubu’s achievements remain largely unrecognized because many of his ministers have not fulfilled their responsibilities, failing to enhance the administration and contribute positively to the country.
“The days of not blowing your own trumpet are over. Nowadays, you need to make sure it’s heard loud and clear,” he remarked.
Okocha observed that the unstable economy President Tinubu inherited has hindered his administration’s ability to progress as quickly as they had planned before taking office.
He stated that the President’s ministers and other senior government officials were not adequately publicizing his achievements for global recognition.
The President’s accomplishments in under two years have gone largely unrecognized. You won’t be aware of what he’s achieved until he addresses the nation.
Okocha stated, “It is essential that someone be accountable for informing Nigerians about the administration’s activities across various ministries. Collectively, these efforts represent the President’s achievements.”
