Every team has a talisman. Every team has a player who carries the burden of performing the magic especially when the going gets tough….and a player who possessed the magnetic power to pull his teammates along.
The absence of such player is always noticed particularly when others fail to come to the party obviously because the man with the magic word ABRACADABRA is not available.
Indeed, Victor Osimhen of Galatasaray was absent in Uyo as his teammates picked the maximum three points against Mediterranean Knights of Libya. They did the job and got the result that mattered most.
However, some fans of the team especially those in love with the former Napoli forward think his absence was grossly felt in this AFCON qualifier in Uyo. They feel he would have either created scoring chances or assisted the likes of Ademola Lookman or perhaps scored himself.
They even argued that each time, the former Wolfsburg, Charleroi and Lille striker misses Super Eagles game, the team struggles and the attack fails to get the bite needed. They gave examples with the World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.
Folks, do you agree that Super Eagles missed Osimhen in the game against Libya?
