The race for the battleground states remains tight as Former President Donald J. Trump continues to hold an advantage in Arizona while Vice President Kamala Harris is maintaining a narrow lead in Pennsylvania, according to a new pair of New York Times/Philadelphia Inquirer/Siena College polls released Saturday.
And while the vast majority of Black voters still plan to support Ms. Harris, she still trails Mr. Bidenās 2020 share of that vital Democratic constituency, according to a New York Times/Siena College poll of Black likely voters.
Ms. Harris, 59, released a letter from her doctor on Saturday saying that she was in āexcellent health,ā as her campaign tried to draw attention to the lack of health information shared by her rival, Mr. Trump, 78.
Mr. Trump is set to hold a rally in Coachella, Calif., which sits in the House district where Representative Ken Calvert, a Republican, is in a competitive contest with his Democratic opponent, Will Rollins, a former federal prosecutor. Control of the House could come down to a handful of races across the country.
Before arriving in Coachella, the home of the popular music festival in Southern California, Mr. Trump is expected at a round table in Henderson, Nev., a majority-Hispanic suburb of Las Vegas. The event follows Vice President Kamala Harrisās participation on Thursday in a Univision town hall in Las Vegas geared toward Latinos, as both campaigns try to appeal to a critical demographic.
