Troops from the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army and Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) have arrested three suspected bandits and a logistics supplier linked to terrorists in Taraba State.
The suspects, identified as Adamu Abubakar, Mohammed Bello, and Musa Adamu, were apprehended in Jeb-Jeb, a border community between Taraba and Plateau states, following credible intelligence reports.
According to security analyst Zagazola, these individuals were responsible for a series of criminal activities, including armed robberies, kidnappings, and violent assaults on communities in the area.
Acting Assistant Director, 6 Brigade Army Public Relations, Captain Olubodunde Oni, confirmed the arrest, stating that “a special operation was launched on 7 October 2024 in Andamin general area of Karim Lamido LGA, leading to the successful apprehension of some suspected bandits”.
Also, a key logistics supplier for terrorists, Musa Inusa, was arrested in Bunka village of Lau LGA.
Items recovered from him include a jack knife, illicit drugs, and wraps of substance suspected to be Indian hemp.
The 6 Brigade Nigerian Army assured the public that the fight against banditry and terrorism will continue with full vigor.
It also encouraged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement agencies.
