The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the killing of Zahi Yaser Abd al-Razeq Oufi, a senior Hamas commander, in Tulkarem, located in the West Bank.
The operation was conducted in collaboration with Shin Bet, Israel’s internal security agency.
The IDF stated that Oufi had been involved in attacks against civilians in Judea and Samaria and was actively planning a new terror attack in the near future. Along with Oufi, several other Hamas operatives were also reported killed in the airstrike.
Earlier on Thursday evening, Israel executed an airstrike targeting Tulkarem, resulting in at least 18 fatalities, as reported by the Palestinian Authority’s health ministry.
This escalation in violence underscores ongoing tensions in the region, with both sides suffering casualties in the conflict.
