Legendary quarterback Tom Brady is set to auction his impressive watch collection this December through Sotheby’s, featuring what is called “The GOAT Collection: Watches and Treasures from Tom Brady.” This collection includes an array of timepieces valued between $12,000 and $800,000, showcasing prestigious brands such as Patek Philippe, Rolex, IWC, and a custom piece from Audemars Piguet.
In a statement, Brady expressed his excitement about giving fans and collectors a chance to own these cherished items, which he believes encapsulate unforgettable moments and hard work throughout his career. His passion for watches began in high school with a graduation gift from his parents, and it blossomed significantly after his first Super Bowl win in 2002, leading him to acquire pieces to commemorate his major achievements.
Among the standout pieces for sale is a white gold and diamond-set flying tourbillon Royal Oak by Audemars Piguet, expected to fetch between $400,000 and $800,000. Brady also plans to part with his Richard Mille 35-03 “Baby Nadal,” valued up to $500,000, along with a rose gold Patek Philippe Nautilus and an IWC Pilot’s Watch Top Gun edition that he wore during his last Super Bowl parade in 2021.
According to Sotheby’s representatives, the collection’s unique stories and historical significance elevate them beyond typical collectibles, making them genuine pieces of sports history.
The luxury watch market has seen fluctuating demand since the pandemic, but total sales in 2024 have reportedly increased by 6% from the previous year, indicating a continued interest in high-end timepieces.
