Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey (D) holds a 4-point lead over Republican challenger David McCormick in his bid for reelection, according to a recent AARP poll. The survey reveals that Casey is supported by 49% of likely voters, while McCormick has garnered 45%. Additionally, 6% of respondents remain undecided or have chosen another candidate.
This race is part of a critical election cycle where Democrats aim to retain control of the Senate amid several closely contested battles.
The AARP poll results come at a pivotal time, as Pennsylvania is not only essential for Senate control but could also influence the presidential election. In a related finding, the poll shows Vice President Kamala Harris leading former President Donald Trump by 2 points in the state, with Harris receiving 49% support among likely voters.
The AARP survey, conducted from September 17 to 24 and featuring 1,398 likely voters, includes a representative sample of 600 voters, 470 voters aged 50 and older, and 328 Black voters in that age range.
The overall margin of sampling error for the statewide representative sample is plus or minus 4 percentage points.
