In a statement signed by Christopher Olusa, the Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Youth Network (OSYN), the organization’s leadership, led by Afe Ezekiel (Erosion), expressed its immense pride and joy in celebrating one year in office. The past year, marked by great sacrifice, dedication, and service, has seen the OSYN consistently rise above challenges while providing solutions that uphold the integrity of the organization. Under Afe Ezekiel’s capable leadership, OSYN has not only strengthened its roots within Ondo State but has also expanded its influence globally.
It is gathered from the statement that the leadership acknowledges the Ondo State government’s positive response to some of their demands. However, the OSYN remains resolute in pushing for more attention to the needs of youth in the state. Special recognition was given to the Board of Trustees, local government coordinators, committee heads, and every member of OSYN for their unwavering support and contributions throughout the year.
The accomplishments achieved in this first year are significant. These include securing a fully furnished office space, establishing active local government coordinators, completing the formal registration of the organization, opening corporate bank accounts, and advocating for youth-led initiatives. Additionally, the team has managed funds with transparency and promoted inclusivity through developmental talks and senatorial engagement. These milestones are a testament to the strength and unity of OSYN’s leadership and members.
Looking forward, the statement emphasized the leadership’s commitment to continued service and a smooth transition at the end of the administration’s two-year term. There will be no extensions, and the leadership has vowed to ensure an orderly and credible handover of power.
In terms of future activities, the 3rd Congress of OSYN is set to take place this Sunday, followed by the End of the Year Events, including a Dinner and Award Ceremony. Next year promises even more, with OSYN’s 10th-anniversary celebration in June and the organization’s elections scheduled for August.
In a move toward transparency, the leadership has also provided a Google form for feedback, encouraging members to share their thoughts on the administration’s performance and offer suggestions for the future. The feedback form can be accessed here: [_https://surveyheart.com/form/66ebef459b9eec5179b1bbb0_] (https://surveyheart.com/form/66ebef459b9eec5179b1bbb0).
As the Ondo gubernatorial elections approach, OSYN urges all members to align themselves with the values of the network and to remain united in upholding the principles that have guided the organization through this remarkable year of progress.
