With heavy hearts, I mourn the passing of a revered religious and community leader, Alhaji Imam Aminu Oluwajekitemiodara, the esteemed Chief Imam of Ansar-ud-Deen Mosque, Ijebu Owo, who answered the call of his Maker today. His departure has left a profound void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him, most especially his beloved family and the entire Ijebu Owo community.
Alhaji Imam Aminu was more than a religious figure; he was a beacon of wisdom, humility and peace. His life was one of dedication not just to Islam but to the betterment of his community. He married religious service with community development, always advocating for peace and harmony among all. His selfless desire for others to thrive, particularly children who were not his own speaks volumes about his generousity of spirit and deep sense of humanity. Even at his own discretion, he ensured that others, like his own children had the opportunity to live fulfilling and dignified lives.
As a father, he raised exemplary children, including Engr. Raimi Aminu, FNSE, the immediate past Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure in Ondo State, who has not only made the Aminullahi family proud but has also been a loyal and dependable friend to many, including myself. The values of integrity, compassion and excellence that Alhaji Imam Aminullahi instilled in his children will continue to be a testament to the life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind.
To the entire Aminullahi family, and to my dear brother Alhaji Engr. Raimi Aminu, FNSE, I extend my deepest condolences. No words can fully capture the weight of your loss but take solace in the fact that your father lived a life worthy of emulation, a life of significance and a life that touched many. His deeds, his wisdom and his love for his community will remain an everlasting legacy in our hearts.
May Allah (SWT) grant him Al Jannah Firdaus and may He give the Aminullahi family the strength and fortitude to bear this great loss.
