Shortly after supervising a draw against Rwanda, Augustine Eguavoen has stepped aside as the interim coach of the Super Eagles.
Eguavoen, in an interview on Tuesday, said his mandate was for two games.
Recall the technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation, (NFF) was brought in after attempts to hire a substantive head coach for the national team failed.
He took charge of two 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda, where Nigeria garnered 4 points in two games to lead Group D in the Morocco 2025 Qualifiers.
