The Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room reportedly observed widespread vote buying, ranging from A5,000 to N10,000 per voter, with some voters also being offered bread, during the September 21 governorship election in Edo State.
Despite the heavy security presence, incidents were reported across multiple polling units, though two alleged vote traders were arrested.
The group, however, praised the peaceful conduct of voters.
