Nigerian Police Eliminate Notorious Bandit Leader Dan Kundu in Katsina State Operation
In a significant security operation, the Nigerian Police Force in Katsina State has successfully neutralized Dan Kundu, a notorious bandit leader infamous for terrorizing communities in the Tsatskiya Forest area of Safana Local Government Area (LGA). Kundu, the younger brother of notorious bandit Usman Modi Modi, met his end during an attempted attack on Thursday night in the Kurfi area.
The operation, conducted by the Nigerian Police in collaboration with local vigilantes, intercepted Kundu and his gang before they could carry out their planned assault. A confrontation ensued, resulting in the death of Kundu and several of his gang members.
Security Analyst and Counter-Insurgency Expert Zagazola Makama confirmed the development, highlighting it as another major victory in the ongoing battle against banditry in the region. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to continuing operations against bandit groups, further weakening the criminal strongholds in Katsina State.
This success marks an important step in efforts to restore peace and security in the North-West, as the government intensifies its offensive against bandits terrorizing local communities.
