Nollywood veteran actor dies as Nigerian Loses over 10 actors in 2024 Alone

Only weeks after popular comedian, Mr Ibu, was laid to rest, the news of France’s d£ath broke on Tuesday.

Here is the list of actors and actresses that have di£d in 2024, as culled from ‘The Nation’.

1- Olofa Ina
Veteran Yoruba actor Deji Aderemi, popularly known as Olofa Ina, di£d on Thursday, January 4. 2024

2- Ethel Ekpe
Veteran actress, Ethel Ekpe, who adorned the Nigerian entertainment screen for years, di£d on Wednesday, February 7 2024, in Lagos State.

Ekpe is well known for playing the role of ‘Segi’ on the Nigerian Television Authority sitcom, ‘Basi and Company’. She di£d after a long battle with canc£r.

3- Sisi Quadri
Yoruba Nollywood actor, Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, popularly known as Sisi Quadri di£d on March 1 2024

He was 44.
He celebrated his 44th birthday on December 25, 2023 and later passed on in March 1, 2024

4- Mr. Ibu
Mr. Ibu
A day after Sisi Quadri’s d£mise, the news of the passing of comedic actor, John Okafor, popular known as Mr Ibu br0ke out.

The actor, renowned for his comedic roles, di£d at the age of 62. It plunged fans and colleagues into m0urning.

5- Amaechi Muonagor
Three weeks after L0sing one of its comic actors to the pang of d£ath, the Nigerian movie industry l0st yet another veteran actor, Amaechi Muonagor, to the cold hands of d£ath.

6- Aderounmu Adejumoke

10- Sule Suebebe
Veteran Nollywood actor Dayo Adewunmi, popularly known by his stage name Sule Suebebe also passed on, in June 12, 2024.
