The executive Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Pastor Umo Eno has reacted after he gave out brand-new Toyota Prado SUVs to four traditional rulers in Akwa Ibom state on Monday.
The executive Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Pastor Umo Eno stated on his verified Facebook page on Monday; “Earlier today, after assenting to the amendment of the Traditional Rulers Law Cap 155 of Akwa Ibom State, I emphasized the importance of traditional rulers in supporting the state’s efforts toward peace and unity.”
He added; “This new amendment now ensures the rotational leadership of the President-General among our state’s ethnic groups, which is a significant step in addressing lingering ethnic issues and fostering unity across Akwa Ibom.”
Governor Umo Eno stated further; “In recognition of our traditional rulers’ vital role, we’ve also provided four Paramount Rulers with brand-new Toyota Prado SUVs, in addition to the five already distributed. These vehicles will help them serve their communities more efficiently, ensuring they continue to play a pivotal role in maintaining security and reinforcing the aspirations of the ARISE Agenda.”
He noted; “I call on all our traditional leaders to remain steadfast in working collaboratively with the government to sustain peace and promote development throughout the state. Together, we are building a brighter and more unified future for Akwa Ibom.”
