According to the video that was shared on the official X account of Channels TV on Sunday, the governor of Adamawa state, Umaru Fintiri has stated that he didn’t announce election results.
This statement came following the elections that went down in several areas in Edo state on Saturday.
Umaru Fintiri, in the video that was shared online, stated that he was only informing the public on the exact figure from the coalition agent of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, before the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, disrupted the process.
He said INEC should be accused of violating the Electoral Act and not him.
According to Umaru Fintiri;
“I did not announce results, I only informed the public on the exact figure from our collation agent that was ongoing before INEC disrupted the process. INEC should be accused of violating the Elctoral Act, not me”.
