Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada on Saturday reportedly donated the sum of ₦15 million at the foundation launching of Hajiya Hussaina Sule, the first daughter of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
Wadada who currently represents Nasarawa West in the Nigerian Senate also supported former Governor of the State, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura(Sardauna Gwandara) who served as Chief Launcher with a donation of ₦5 million.
Reacting, a constituent, Comrade Salisu Shuaibu criticized the Lawmaker over the donation to the Asma’u and Hassan Foundation amidst the current economic hardship in the country particularly his senatorial district.
Shuaibu who had volunteered as media aide to the Lawmaker for the 2023 general elections said the donation was a misplacement of priority, generating mixed reactions from Facebook users.
The foundation launching held at the TAAL Conference Hotel, Lafia had in attendance dignitaries across the State and beyond who lauded Hajiya Hussaina Sule over the initiative aimed at meeting the needs of orphans and the less privileged.
Millions of naira were donated at the foundation launching by G5 led by Prince Ibrahim Hassan Abdullahi(Adon Garin Lafia) and former Executive Secretary of National Judicial Council, Barrister Danladi Halilu Envulu-Anza among others.
