During a raid on an illegal sideshow in the San Francisco Bay Area that drew hundreds of people, authorities discovered a 10-foot python inside a vehicle.
The Vallejo Police Department reported that they received multiple calls around 11:12 p.m. Friday about a sideshow involving approximately 500 vehicles in Vallejo. Participants were obstructing traffic, using lasers to blind other drivers, and performing dangerous stunts.
The incident escalated when occupants of a Cadillac directed a laser at police officers, leading to a traffic stop. The driver then led officers on a 10-mile chase to Hercules, where they abandoned the vehicle.
Police found the python in the abandoned Cadillac. The driver was arrested on charges including felony evading, while the passengers received misdemeanor citations. Vallejo is located about 30 miles northeast of San Francisco.
