Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, will visit Georgia next week for a bus tour, marking their first campaign appearance together since they accepted the Democratic nomination at the recent convention.
This tour will be their first joint visit to Georgia, a key battleground state, and will include a swing through southern Georgia, concluding with a rally in Savannah on Thursday night.
Walz will depart before the rally, leaving Harris to address the crowd.
During their tour, Harris and Walz plan to engage with voters and emphasize the campaignβs commitment to Georgia, which has over 170 Democratic staffers in 24 coordinated offices.
At the rally, Harris aims to contrast her optimistic vision with Donald Trumpβs “dark and dangerous” agenda. The campaign is also focused on expanding its volunteer base, building on recent successes in other battleground states.
Harris and Walz previously toured Pennsylvania before the convention in Chicago, where Harris returned to Washington after the event. According to current polling, Trump leads Harris by a narrow margin.
