Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has reaffirmed Ekiti State Government’s dedication to leveraging agriculture as a tool for wealth creation and job opportunities for the youth.
This affirmation came on Tuesday, during the presentation of an 18-seater Toyota bus to young agricultural entrepreneurs in the state. The bus was in fulfilment of the promise made by the governor during the flag-off of the planting season and the distribution of seedlings and implements to young farmers in Ekiti.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Habibat Adubiaro, Governor Oyebanji revealed that the gesture is part of the state’s broader strategy to empower the youth and promote agribusiness as a viable career path in Ekiti State.
He also recognised the vital role of transportation in the agricultural value chain, as it links farmers to markets and enables the efficient movement of goods from suppliers to areas of demand, thereby boosting the profitability and long-term sustainability of their operations.
