Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Thursday commended lawyers for their efforts in defending the rule of law during a courtesy visit from the new leadership of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Yola branch at the Government House in Yola.
He praised their role in ensuring the 2023 Adamawa Governorship Election Tribunal remained in the state, citing the peaceful environment. Despite the country’s challenges, including hunger and difficulties, Governor Fintiri expressed his administration’s commitment to collaborating with the NBA and other bodies to bring soccer to the people.
He assured the NBA of his administration’s continued support, including sponsoring members to conferences nationwide. NBA Yola branch Chairman, Mr. Idi Ali, thanked Governor Fintiri for his constant support and transformation of the judiciary, which has made the body proud. He also commended the governor’s infrastructure development efforts, including road networks, flyovers, and mass transit buses, urging him to maintain the momentum.
