The chief executive officers of the National Lottery Trust Fund and the National Lottery Commission have pledged to work together and add value to Nigerians through lottery services.
The two government officials made the attestation when the newly appointed Executive Secretary of the National Lottery Trust Fund, Comrade Tosin Adeyanju, paid a visit to the Director-General of the National Lottery Commission, Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila, in Abuja.
While receiving the NLTF CEO, Gbajabiamila said that Adeyanju’s appointment would revolutionalise the operation of the agency and boost its image at home abd abroad.
Gbajabiamila, who congratulated Adeyanju on his appointment, described it as a divine intervention aimed at fostering a harmonious working relationship between the two agencies.
This is contained in a statement made available to Vanguard on Tuesday morning by the Special Assistant on Media to the Executive Secretary of the National Lotter Trust Fund, Mr. Arowolo Alaba.
Gbajabiamilasaid: “Your appointment is a divine intervention to make the two sister agencies work hand in hand as a family.
“Since I assumed office in 2017, there has been friction between the two agencies, which I have tried to address. However, with your leadership, I am confident that we will achieve our goals and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda,” the chief executive of the lottery commission stated.
On his part, the NLTF boss, Adeyanju, expressed his commitment to a cordial working relationship between the two agencies, stating, “I am here today with my management team to identify with the National Lottery Commission and to foster a collaborative working relationship.
“We will work together for the benefit of our agencies, the lottery industry, and our country as a whole,” Adeyanju pledged.
He also emphasized the need for the two agencies to partner in hosting an interactive session with players in the lottery and gaming industry, stressing that this could only be achieved by working together and doing what is necessary and right.
