A Bronx Assistant District Attorney, William CC Kemp-Neal, resigned after being confronted and filmed by the group Dads Against Predators for allegedly attempting to meet a young boy.
Bronx prosecutor William C.C. Kemp-Neal has resigned after he was caught on video attempting to meet up with a 13-year-old boy.
Kemp-Neal is a Fordham Law graduate of 2021 who served as a prosecutor in the Bronx District Attorney’s office.
According to the New York Post, Kemp-Neal primarily handled assault, harassment, and child endangerment cases.
The video was shared by Dads Against Predators, a group known for exposing potential child predators. On July 8, the group confronted the 30-year-old prosecutor in a Target parking lot on East Sandford Boulevard in Mount Vernon. The video shows the group asking Kemp-Neal if he is “Marcus,” prompting him to flee. The men pursued him, shouting,
“Excuse me everybody, this man right here came to meet a 13-year-old boy.” At one point, a bystander intervened and restrained Kemp-Neal in a chokehold. In the clip, Kemp-Neal is seen struggling to breathe and attempting to break free.
Mount Vernon Police arrived at the scene and questioned those involved. While no arrests were made, the police issued a statement acknowledging the allegations and committing to a “thorough investigation.” As of now, Kemp-Neal has not been charged with any crime, New York Post reported.
