Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate are gearing up for a busy week, starting with a rally in Philadelphia on Tuesday. This event will kick off a five-day tour across seven cities in five battleground states: Philadelphia, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Detroit, Durham, North Carolina, Savannah, Georgia, Phoenix, and Las Vegas.
The tour will feature a mix of large arena rallies, college visits, and smaller, more personal gatherings like union halls and restaurants. The campaign aims to showcase their strength across diverse regions, from urban centers to rural areas, and to differentiate their ticket from Donald Trumpâs.
Harris spent Sunday meeting with potential running mates and consulting with key advisors, including former Attorney General Eric Holder and her brother-in-law, Tony West.
On Monday, the Democratic National Committee will hold a virtual roll call vote to officially nominate Harris, as required by Ohio law for candidates to be formally nominated at least 90 days before Election Day.
