Tropical Storm Debby, which made landfall in Florida as a Category 1 hurricane early Monday, has caused significant travel disruptions across the Southeast.
The storm has led to nearly 4,700 flight delays and about 2,800 cancellations, with major impacts at airports in Tampa, Orlando, and Charlotte. Debby has been downgraded to a tropical storm but continues to bring damaging winds and heavy rain.
The storm has been linked to at least four deaths, including fatalities from car accidents and a tree fall. Power outages have affected over 300,000 customers in Florida, with additional outages reported in Georgia.
Travelers are advised to check flight statuses with airlines before heading to the airport.
