The woman, who stood out among the protesters, carried an empty pot to highlight the severe lack of food in her home. Her poignant photo quickly went viral, drawing sympathetic responses from the public.
Oxlade, moved by her plight, shared the photo on his Twitter page and announced that he would offer her ₦500,000 in support.
