Wegmans is preparing to open its first Connecticut store in Norwalk next summer.
The 92,000-square-foot location is currently hiring and training around 500 employees, focusing on full-time positions such as management, customer service, and culinary roles. The company plans to fill part-time roles later.
This expansion is part of Wegmans’ broader East Coast growth strategy, which includes new stores in Lake Grove, NY, Rockville, MD, and future locations in Charlotte, NC, and Holly Springs, NC.
Wegmans recently opened a store in Yardley, PA, and continues to grow its presence, with significant operations in New York, including a new Manhattan store.
