Denny’s is set to relaunch its popular $2, $4, $6, $8 menu, adding a $10 category to enhance value offerings, CEO Kelli Valade announced during an earnings call.
This revamped menu, which previously yielded strong results, aims to drive customer traffic and address a recent 0.6% decline in same-store sales. The relaunch follows extensive testing and is part of Denny’s strategy to boost sales through value-driven options.
Testing indicated that the value menu enhances customer perceptions and maintains profitability. The chain also continues to expand its virtual brand, Banda Burrito and has seen positive sales mix results in test markets.
Similar value menu expansions by competitors like Chili’s and Buffalo Wild Wings have proven successful, indicating a competitive value market.
