Christopher Gregor, a New Jersey father, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the manslaughter and endangerment of his 6-year-old son, Corey Micciolo.
Judge Guy P. Ryan imposed a 20-year term for manslaughter and a 5-year term for child endangerment, to be served consecutively. This sentence follows Gregor’s conviction for forcing Corey into abusive treadmill workouts that led to the boy’s death in April 2021.
Despite prosecutors seeking a 40-year sentence, Gregor’s limited criminal history led to a lesser term.
Corey’s mother, Breanna Micciolo, and other family members have condemned Gregor’s actions, highlighting the severe abuse Corey endured.
Gregor’s conviction was based on video evidence showing the abuse and his son’s subsequent fatal injuries.
