Former PDP House of Assembly candidate representing Okitipupa Constituency 2, Hon Osunolale Tibetan, has defected from the opposition party, PDP, to the ruling party, All Progressives Congress APC today in Ode Aye, Okitipupa Local Government.
The announcement was made at Ward 1 in Ode Aye, citing ‘political differences’ and a desire to support Ondo State Governor, His Excellency Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s ‘progressive agenda’.
As a prominent figure in the PDP, Tibetan’s departure sent shockwaves through the PDP in Ode Aye, his home town.
APC chieftains in the Local Government led by Commissioner of Commerce, Industry and Cooperative Services, Pastor Segun Ayerin and APC Local Government Chairman, Hon Bode Ikulala and other leading lights of the party in Ode-Aye ward 1 welcomed him with open arms, hailing his decision as a ‘victory for the progressives’.
