The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdurosheed Akanbi has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu must lead the country back to God and affirm God’s supremacy over everything.
Speaking at a reception organised by Iwo Muslim Community in honour of the monarch at his palace in Iwo, he described Nigeria’s problem as man-made.
He said Nigerians have created an unnecessary rivalry between God and deity by mixing culture and religion thereby placing curse on the country, hence, the need for the President to lead other leaders to God and affirm his supremacy in a bid for the country to prosper.
His words, “There is a curse on Nigeria and this is more spiritual. People are mixing our beautiful culture and tradition with religion. The President must lead other leaders of the nation back to God, affirm His supremacy and Nigeria will prosper.
“So far the president have good intentions, he must resigned back to God. He has come to serve the people but it is only God that will make it easy for him. Tinubu must hold unto God. The President and Governor must not be confused, they should not seek rival for God. No builder can build a house without God. They should not mind idol worshippers”.
He added no youth group would protest in the country if the President believe in God, adding, “with his firm believe in God, his good intentions would materialise and no protest would happen”
In his address, Professor Musliu Yahaya, Secretary Muslim Ummah, Southwest, stressed the need for every Nigerian to practice his believe without fear of being intimidated by anyone under any guise.
He urged Nigerians to return to God, saying only God can resolve Nigeria’s multifaceted crisis completely.
