Moses Paul, a social activist and loyalist to the former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi, has expressed that he was struck by the remark of Alhaji Aliko Dangote on Sunday at the Dangote Refinery complex in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, during the media executives’ visit. Dangote revealed that he doesn’t own any houses outside Nigeria, apart from his homes in Kano and Lagos. He even rents a house in Abuja.
However, Moses Paul revealed via his official X page on Friday that he had the same encounter with Peter Obi sometime ago.
According to Moses Paul, he said he recalls his conversation with Peter Obi on their way from Washington DC to London in May 2024.
He mentioned that he asked Peter Obi why he booked a hotel for and why not own a property in London. Obi responded, saying that ‘I don’t consider that my place, except when my wife is there,’ which left a lasting impression. Obi emphasized that the only place he truly considers home is where his heart is, which is Nigeria.
