Due to high cost of Cow meat and Fishes in our local markets Nigerians now resort to going to the Bushes to hunt for Bush meat. On this day this particular gentleman with the Pot of Soup below stumbled on one of them and just had to summon the courage and k1lled it, took him home, cleaned up and made soup with it, the rest he dried and taste of the soup according to him was heavenly..
However we are aware that Snake meat is a delicacy in some parts of Nigeria, especially in the south-western region and parts of Old Bendel State. It is believed to have medicinal and nutritional benefits, such as curing skin diseases and boosting immunity. However, not everyone is a fan of this exotic food.
Also Over the years there has been the allegation that some of the dried Mangara fish brought from the North East are sometimes mixed with Snake meat.
For those who prefer this delicacy it does not matter how big or poisonous the snakes are, they always end up in the Pot when they caught them. The animal Nigerians cannot eat doesn’t exist.
