——Declares open meeting of Government Recognized traditional rulers in Obio Akpor.
The chairman, caretaker committee of Obio Akpor local government, Ambassador Chijioke Ihunwo is asking traditional rulers in the local government area to ensure that peace reigns in their respective communities.
He told the traditional rulers that for peace to be maintained in their various communities, they must work closely with him and security agencies.
Ambassador Chijioke Ihunwo was speaking while declaring open a meeting of Government Recognized Traditional rulers in Obio Akpor local government area at the palace of Eze Oha Apara the fourth of Apara kingdom.
The CTC chairman of Obio Akpor local government, Ambassador Chijioke Ihunwo also urged the traditional rulers to commit themselves to the ideals of Governor Siminalayi Fubara to enable him deliver on his mandate.
“ I decided to initiate this meeting first, to seek your wise counseling as fathers in the administration of our local government and for us to rub minds as the custodians of the customs and traditions in our respective communities because our greatest desire is to ensure that peace reigns in the various wards of our LGA, I therefore challenge you all to furnish the council and security agencies with useful information that will help us rid our local government area of criminal elements”.
On the governance of the local government, Ambassador Chijioke Ihunwo assured the traditional rulers that his administration will soon unveil programmes that will change the lives of the people for the better.
Before wrapping up his speech, the Obio Akpor council boss congratulated His Royal Majesty, Eze Chika Amadi Worlu Wobo, Eze Oha Apara, the fourth of Apara kingdom on his appointment as the chairman of the Rivers state council of traditional rulers by Governor Siminalayi Fubara and announced that he will soon start donating transformers to communities that are in need.
The meeting was attended by all the Government Traditional Rulers in Obio Akpor local government area and was chaired by its chairman, His Royal Majesty, Eze Chika Amadi Worlu Wobo, Eze Oha Apara, the fourth of Apara kingdom.
