▫️Charges Corps Members to be patriotic and diligent in their National Services to the Father Land.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Student Affairs, Hon Kevin Solomon Olaolu (KSO) was today in attendance at the Swearing – In Ceremony of the 2024 Batch B, Stream 2 Corp Members at the Orientation Camp of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Ikare Akoko, Ondo State.
The Programme was chiefly attended by the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa and top government officials.
The centrepiece of the event is the promise by the Ondo State Governor to return the payment of monthly stipends to Corps Members and the rennovation of the NYSC Orientation Camp.
The Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor on Student Affairs, Hon Kevin Solomon Olaolu (KSO) welcome the Corp members to Ondo State, emplacing that the Sunshine State is a state that stands tall amongst other states in all positive dimensions. He added that the deployment of the Corp Members to Ondo State is not by error but by divine ordination to make them enjoy the beauty, positivity and opportunities embedded in the state.
He added that the Corp members should inculcate the spirit of patriotism, discipline, and utmost commitment in their Place of Primary Assignment. Hon Kevin Solomon Olaolu advised that National Service is often time an opportunity to sail through unto high grounds, for this reason, the Corps Members should remain steadfast and hardworking.
“First, I must Congratulate all the Corps Members been deployed to Ondo State by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). You have come to the best state in Nigeria and I must assure you that Ondo State is a golden land with incomparable opportunities. I wish to implore you uphold the tenets of the NYSC and be focus to your dreams and aspirations. Be patriotic and diligent at all time.”
The SSA to Ondo State Governor on Student Affairs futher added that the “Corpers” should ensure they make impactful landmark in the various communities they will be finally posted to, especially through the NYSC’s Community Development Scheme (CDS).
He noted that the entire 18 Local Government Areas in Ondo are filled with hospitality and friendliness. He encouraged the Corps Members to seize this opportunity of National Service to explore and learn the beautiful cultures and values of the Peoples of Ondo State.
Hon Kevin Solomon Olaolu (KSO) thereby advised the Corps Members to always abide by all lay down laws and regulations as they are ambassadors of their homes, their society and the institution they graduated from. He encouraged them to stand firm and stay focus in dedication and selflessness, just as their NYSC Anthem indicates.
The Senior Special Assistant on Student Affairs wishes all the Corps Members an eventful Service Year, as he officially welcome them to Ondo State.
