…………Charged the Senator to ensure equal distribution of dividends of Democracy
The Owo Youth Development Association ( OYDA ) writes to encourage Owo students and concerned stakeholders from the kingdom to attend the scheduled town hall meeting with the Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial district, distinguished Senator Jide Ipinsagba.
In a statement released by the Director General of the group Obanoyen Abiola in Owo, the Youth Group sighted the need to be available for the program and tasked the Senator to ensure unbiased representation.
The coordinator also urged the public to disregard the unholy and unsolicited statement made by unknown Group claiming to be the mouthpiece of Owo Youths, which calls for rejection of the Senator’s program.
It’s important to set the record straight. The statement doesn’t represent the interest of Owo Youth and can’t be seen as relevant.
While we insist that our people must participate in his programs and draw the largesse of his office, we, however, frown at the manner he has relocated the Senatorial activities away from the Senatorial headquarters (Owo).
We can’t continue to be on the losing side, and it’s also important to let our people know the need to stand up for our right.
It will be of disadvantage to the entire student community, who are the beneficiaries of the bursary scholarship not to attend the program.
It will be recalled that the same attitude was motivated during the 12 years reign of Senator Ajayi Borofice, that owo local government couldn’t account for any developmental impact, despite our contribution to his emergence in 2011,2015 and 2019.
We will stand for what’s right and continue to speak against whatever is detrimental to the growth of Owo Kingdom.
While commending Senator Jide Ipinsagba for this program, we also encourage our people to continue following the activities and programs of his office to be equipped with requisite details and information
We will champion the course of community development and collective growth as a hallmark to justify the essence of standing firm as an association that represents the interest of our people.
We, however, call on our leaders across board, particularly Mr Adekola Olawoye SAN to mobilise leadership of APC in Owo, as well as community leaders to engage Senator Ipinsagba on in the interest of our people.
We look forward to seeing the Senator doing more people oriented programs and bringing federal presence to the good people of Owo Kingdom.
Obanoyen Abiola
