It is worthy of note that the first dynasty of Ogiso Era ended with the time of Ogiso – Owodo, the father of Ekaladerhan, after a long period of about 900 years of the Ogiso dynasty before Ife could have a first ruler as Ooni Oduduwa (Ododua n’uhẹ).
The end of Ogiso dynasty by chronological order of Ogiso Owodo and Ekaladerhan in exile at Uhe (Ife) actually coincided with the emergence of Oduduwa as first ruler in Ife.
A migrant, and was never a native of Ife.
There is no record of other rulers of Ife prior to the emergence of Ekaladerhan Izoduwa (Oduduwa) in Ife
All the names of 51 Oonis of Ife to date appeared within the period when Ekaladerhan was exiled to date remains accurate with Benin chronological time frame between Ogiso and Oba dynasties .

Excerpts from Yoruba history: “Oduduwa…. Reign c. 1100 AD (early 12th Century)
While Ekaladerhan Izoduwa was ruling in Ile-Ife (Uhẹ) with the new name Oduduwa. He Reigned c. 1100 AD (early 12th Century). Evian was ruling in Benin, as he was already honoured as a warrior by Ogiso Owodo for killing the Monster Osogan and was given part of the land as a prize for the feat of bravery.
After the death of Ogiso Owodo, the fame of being a warrior that killed the monster earned him the leadership as administrative head of a Republican system during the period of Interregnum that followed the death of the last Ogiso (Owodo).
Owodo’s only son was not found to inherit the throne, because his son was presumed to have been executed on a flimsy circumstance of a set-up to eliminate him by the step mother and senior wife of his father by name Esagho, that Ekaladerhan was responsible for the barenness of the king’s wives and not to have another son. But was spared by kindhearted executioners that were assigned. He thereafter escaped after traversing several places to Ife (Uhe) as migrant with some followers.
Evian (administrator) Reigned c. 1100 AD ( 12th Century)
Irebor Ogiamwen (administrator)
