▫️As NANS/ JCC, Ondo Chapter Inaugurates new Executive
It was a remarkable moment at the Ondo State College of Health Technology, Akure as student leaders across tertiary institutions in Ondo State gathered for the inauguration of the Executives of the National Association of Nigerian Students and the Ondo State Chapter of the JCC.
Present at the event was the Senior Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor on Student Affairs, Hon Kevin Solomon Olaolu (KSO) who stood in for the Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa alongside with other notable dignitaries and stakeholders in the Educational sector. The ambience of the event was a clear mixture of comradeship and friendliness.
The inauguration of these student leaders within higher institutions in Ondo State is a threshold to robust relationship amongst them and an avenue to enhance the welfarism of students in Ondo State. It also focuses on ensuring these leaders are fundamental in students’ engagements with the state government.
While address the congregation, the SSA to Ondo State Governor on Student Affairs, Hon Kevin Solomon Olaolu expressed gratitude to all Nigerian Students for their commitment and intentions to maintain the equilibrium of comradeship. He attached in his statement that education is a basic tool that could transform any given society and as such, every Government must prioritize at every facet and level.
Hon Kevin Solomon Olaolu KSO thereby assured Ondo State students of government’s readiness to partner with them and enhance workable modalities that can make Ondo State tertiary institutions citadel of excellences. He maintained that the welfarism of Ondo State Students is a priority in the Ayedatiwa led administration as students are now on the edge of enjoying dividend of quality education.
Hon Kevin Solomon Olaolu went further to state that the involvement of students in governance and policy making cannot be overemphasized, as they are the most important stakeholders. He Congratulated the new NANS/JCC executives and advised them to uphold the tenets of good governance, noting that they the potential leaders of this state and country.
The chairman of the newly inaugurated NANS/JCC executives, Comrade Oluwatobiloba Oluwarotimi Joshua assured the students of Ondo State a new dawn. He appealed to the government to always give a listening attention to their demands as he promised a significant partnership with the state government.
The Ondo State owned tertiary institutions are Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, Ondo State University of Medicine Science, Ondo as well as the Ondo State College of Health Technology, Akure.
