Amir, the son of Governor Abdullahi Sule notorious for reckless driving in some streets of Lafia has been seen driving a BMW car with a fake ‘Executive Governor of Nasarawa State’ seal.
In an 11-second visual recording made available to n-Mirror, Amir was seen inside the car parked at night somewhere in Lafia metropolis.
This has left many residents and road users asking: “is it legal for a Governor’s son or daughter to drive a car with the seal of the Governor?”.
Similarly, Amir’s reckless driving habits has become a daily menace in Lafia, putting the lives of many at risk. A resident of Lafia, Ahmed Baba Suleiman who raised the alarm recently appealed to Governor Sule to intervene.
“While we appreciate your leadership and the progress made under your administration, we cannot ignore the alarming behavior of your son. His actions are unbecoming of a son of a respected leader like yourself and pose a significant threat to the safety of our children and other road users.
“We understand that family matters can be delicate, but we urge you to address this issue promptly. We have experienced similar situations in the past, and the consequences were devastating. We lost innocent lives due to the reckless behavior of a public figure’s child. We cannot afford to tolerate such behavior again.
“We respectfully request that you take necessary measures to address your son’s behavior and ensure that he does not endanger the lives of others. We believe that your prompt action will help maintain the trust and respect we have for your leadership,” Suleiman, added.
Meanwhile, Governor Sule has traveled to Egypt to meet his newborn, a baby boy with second wife, Hajiya Farida Sule named after him.
