A catholic priest, Father Lawrence Soja-Anyembugu has told the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly(NSHA), Mr Danladi Jatau that the people of the State are suffering.
The catholic priest made this known in a sermon at the funeral mass of late Mama Anna Asibi Abakyen Kuje at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Ezhiba, Akun Development Area of the State on Saturday morning which had in attendance the Speaker and other members of the 7th Assembly.
Fr Soja-Anyembugu admonished the present administration to quickly put in place measures to address the prevailing hardship in the State.
He also admonished public officeholders to prioritize skills acquisition programmes to equip youths with the necessary skills for self-reliance.
The funeral mass had in attendance dignitaries across all walks of life including the president of the Eggon Cultural and Development Association(ECDA), Mr David Mandy Abuluya.
In his address, ECDA President, David Mandy Abuluya, enjoined community members to rally round the present administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule in order to enjoy dividends of democracy.
According to him, Governor Sule means well for the State, hence the call of support and prayers for his administration to exceed all expectations.
“The time for politics is over. This is time for governance. Support Governor Sule to succeed,” Abuluya added.
