1. You don’t need 6 months bank statement to apply. Even one month statement is enough. I’ve done with 2 weeks sef 👍🏾
2. You have to pay particular attention to that part of the application where they ask you questions about your income and expenses. What you answer there can make or mar your application. I personally believe that section is where they base their decision on 😆
3. If you’re a young person from our side of the world your chances of refusal are way higher than a much older person like a parent even though a parent can still be denied. Cause you fit get wetin you dy do and be seeing serious money make them still deny you, I’ve never seen any other visa where they scrutinise and dissect your financial documents like the UK visit visa.
4. Even if someone else is sponsoring your visit and paying everything, they are still more interested in your personal financial and economic situation – what do you do back home? How much do you spend monthly?, how much are you planning to spend in the UK and how is this trip affordable to you?
5. It’s much easier, I mean way way easier to get a student visa or work visa than a visit visa because those are points based and once you meet the required number of points you’re almost guaranteed the visa unless village people work overtime on your matter
6. When your visa is approved, they don’t send you a letter or email notification. They only return your passport stamped with the visa vignette, you only get a letter if it’s a refusal so pray make you no see any email days after applying cause that is an automatic rejection 😆
7. This is my personal theory but it has worked for me countless times- if the application hits the 7th working day without any email notification form UKVI, it’s safe to assume it’s been approved. Rejections typically come though in the first 7 days.
8. Even the best agent or self applicant can still be denied a UK visit visa. I don chop two refusals myself but managed to overturn one by reapplying!. I have also helped overturn two refusals that were not originally handled by me!
9. You can’t work on a visit visa
10. You can not appeal a visit visa refusal so if you’re rejected, that one don go and only option is to reapply again and again if needed until approved 😆
11. You cannot stay back permanently on a UK visit visa and you cannot switch into another visa category from inside the UK on a visit visa as you will have to leave the country first and reapply from outside maka ndi japa people.
